If you don’t want your child’s photograph posted on the internet, don’t want people to comment on your child’s appearance, don’t want strangers to access your mobile phone number, or perhaps you don’t want people to know that your child attends OKiKi. Then the “myOKiKi” portal is for you.
Perhaps you would like to know what your child will eat next week, or what their last month’s attendance was. You might want to know last month’s timetable of school buses, the spring outing arrangements or check the comments your child’s teacher has made, all this can be done outside business hours using the “myOKiKi” portal!
For some time it was difficult for us to keep a balance between communicating information about a child’s school life, while keeping in mind privacy issues. Many parents are eager to receive news of school activities and notices, though are concerned about the privacy of this information. As a high quality early-childhood educator, we pay close attention to each family’s privacy particularly when it comes to private information such as children and parents’ names, contact information and pictures. We have built a communication system which will overcome these issues, the “myOKiKi” portal.
Apart from the afore mentioned items, the portal also contains information concerning your child’s studies, life, food and school bus information. Administrative information such as fee payment, courses and the school’s management systems are also included. The portal enables you and the school to keep a record of your child’s growth.
Trusted design experts were enlisted to design the technical platform, and adopt an IBM software platform which includes DB2, Websphere、and Domino. This framework allows us single sign-on, information security and ability to enlarge the structure.
At present our contact book is in paper form. This communication book is popular with parents. However, an electronic platform can give many advantages. We are now allocating user names and passwords, please be patient as we launch the new system.
We hope memories of OKiKi will be with your child for life, and in future years they will be able to access “myOKiKi” to relive the memories of their childhood and friendship during pre-school years.
