An invitation to OKiKi LHFG Kindergarten Parent-child Activity for Labor Day

OKiKi Longhuafenggu Kindergarten is a high-quality kindergarten with Singaporean characteristics located in Long Hua area, Xu Hui District. On May 6th, there will be a free parent-child activity held by both International Department teachers and Chinese teachers. All are welcome to participate.

The arrangements for activities are as follows:

Time: Saturday May 6th, 2006, 9:00am-11:00am
Location: OKiKi Kindergarten playground, Multi-functional hall.
Kindergarten address: No. 35, Lane 205, Feng Gu Road.

Activity schedule:
1. 09£º00¡ª09£º30am Parents and children arrive at the kindergarten.
2. 09£º30¡ª10£º30am Parent-child activities (contents attached)
3. 10£º30¡ª11£º00am Child snack time. Parent consultation time.

Parent Activity Schedule
Hosts: OKiKi teachers

1. Push the go-cart

Aim: To push an object. To develop hand, eye co-ordination and exercise leg muscles.
Preparation: four wooden go-carts, four wheelbarrows
Supervising Staff: Teacher Yan Yihong is responsible for equipment and co-coordinating the game.
Method: The children and the parents stand opposite one another. The children push the go-cart to the parent, and the parents in turn push the wheelbarrows with child inside back to the starting position.

2. Kangaroo
Aim: To practice of body control
Supervising Staff: Teacher Wucui
Method: Children hold tightly to the parents while standing on their parent¡¯s feet. Together they run to the other side as fast as they can.

3. Wrap the babies
Preparation: four bed sheets, four dolls
Supervising Staff: Teacher Hu Caixia
Method: The parents wrap the children in the bed sheet and run from starting point to the finishing line. The children then pick up a doll and run back to the starting point.

4. Dribbling
Aim: practice running and balancing
Preparation: two one-log bridges, twenty balloons with water, four red barrels
Supervising Staff: Teacher Pan Min
Method: The child takes a balloon from the barrel at the starting line, and then puts it in barrel in front of the parents at the finishing line. Then the child then runs back to the starting point to take a second balloon. The child should run over the one-log bridge when approaching the finishing line but may run directly back to get another balloon.

5. Rainbow Parasol
Aim: To improve parent- child relationships. To give the children an opportunity to share the excitement of the game with their parents.
Preparation: two rainbow para -shoots
Supervising Staff: all teachers
Method: The parents and the teachers hold the edge of the para-shoot. When para-shoot is up, children can stand under or run under it. When the para-shoot is down, the children stop running.

6. My Skillful Little Hands (site: the classrooms of Nursery 2)
Aim: To use arm muscles. To improve parent- child relationship.
Preparation: examples, several disposable plates, sticky paper of various colors, scissors
Supervising Staff: Teacher Lu Xuanqing organizes the appliances. All teachers involved in the direction.
Method: Parents may refer to the samples and use their imagination to decorate the plates with sticky paper of various colors.

So far, we have organized various activities welcomed by the parents and children such as the ¡°Autumn Dancing Musical party¡± theme party, and the Century Park party outing.
